DJ Mitch LJ, producer, remixer and DJ is one of Europe’s most sought after DJs. Wirebox were commissioned to develop the flash website in partnership with Neonstone. The award winning design was created by DKcreatives.

Its not very often we go on about a holding page, but the one we did for Footprint was special, the page uses a font Gills Sans.

The font is not websafe, so will not appear in browsers. But in recent years, sites have been using images or sIFR.
We have used those in the past but for this site we have used typeface.js, with typeface.js you can embed custom fonts in your web pages so you don’t have to render text to images. Instead of creating images or using flash just to show your site’s graphic text in the font you want, you can use typeface.js and write in plain HTML and CSS, just as if your visitors had the font installed locally.
We think it works really well and works on all the latest browsers and even with Javascript off, the text reverts to a websafe font, so the site is still readable.
